CTB Accreditation for Training Providers

Why get ISTQB accredited via the CTB?

The accreditation of ISTQB training providers can be done with via any of the ISTQB Member Boards around the world, provided they are familiar and able to offer the language in which the training provider wishes to be accreditted. The CTB is currently specializes on the accreditation of training providers looking to offer ISTQB courses in English.

Training Providers create and deliver trainings that comply with the ISTQB® syllabi content. The requirements for training providers are defined in the ISTQB® Accreditation Process.

Benefits of ISTQB Accreditation

Only training providers that are accredited by an ISTQB® Member Board can take advantage of the following benefits:

  • Usage of the official "Accredited Training Provider" logo and associated ISTQB logos and names in association with your courses.

  • Being listed on the ISTQB® website, List of Training Providers.

  • If accredited via the CTB, you will also be listed on the CTB website.

  • Providing a continuously expanding professional development path to their clients in the field of testing, by offering the most up-to-date testing knowledge.

  • Independent assessment of the professionalism of their trainers.

  • Independent assessment of the quality and coverage of their training material.

  • Participation in early reviews of the ISTQB® syllabi and in other activities organized by ISTQB®.

Requirements for Accreditation with the CTB

There are 3 main steps to becoming an ISTQB Recognized Training Provider:

  1. Certified Trainer

  2. Access to ISTQB Materials

  3. Signing of the Recognition Agreement and Payment of the Recognition Fee

Step 1: (Certified Trainer) 

In order for your organization to get accredited to offer official ISTQB courses on a global scale, your organization must have trainers at your company, or agreements with trainers who will offer training on behalf of your organization that hold the certificate for the courses you plan to offer in the future.

Step 2: (Access to ISTQB Materials)

Your organization must fullfil one of the following criteria (in regards to materials) for each of the ISTQB courses you plan to offer: (1) have proof of an agreement to access materials that have already been accredited by one of the the ISTQB member boards OR (2) have your own materials that you wish to accredit via the CTB. There is an extra cost associated with the accreditation of ISTQB training materials via the CTB, please reach out to us via caribbeantb@gmail.com for more information.

Step 3: (Signing of the Recognition Agreement and Payment of the Recognition Fee)
Once we have discussed everything and completed steps 1 and 2, we will provide your organization with a recognition agreement as well as the assoociated invoice for the payment of the recognition fee. Applying to the ISTQB Partner Program

What is it?

The ISTQB® Partner Program recognises organisations with a demonstrated commitment to software testing certifications.

​

The program is comprised of four levels of partnerships (Silver, Gold, Platinum and Global) and the partnership level of an organisation is determined through the number of certification points that the organization has accumulated, as described below (under the logos of the given levels). Certification points are awards to memeber based on the number of certified professional at a given organization. For each foundation level (starting with CTFL) certificate that someone in an organization holds, they will receive one point, and for each advanced level (starting with CTAL) 3 points. 

Benefits

  • Permission to use the ISTQB® Partnership Program logo (and other permitted marketing material) on organisation's website and in your marketing materials.

  • Public recognition of the investment made in the certification of professional testers.

  • Specific recognition documentation, indicating business unit, validity and level

  • Listing of the organization on ISTQB® website.

  • If you apply via the SSTQB, you will also be listed CTB website.

  • Special privileges with regard to ISTQB® related events and conferences.

  • Eligibility to receive the Beta version of new ISTQB® Syllabi with the opportunity to contribute to their review.

  • 30% Discount when you renew before your first year membership expires.

Levels of the ISTQB Partner Program

Requirements: 

  • At least 5 certification points, earned through certificates held by employees or external consultants who provide services for more than 70% of their time.


Costs: 

  • Yearly cost of two (2) Foundation exams, according to the current rates set by the Member Board or Exam Provider with whom the Partnership Program is managed.

Requirements: 

  • At least 14 certification points, earned through certificates held by employees or external consultants who provide services for more than 70% of their time.

  • At least one (1) Advanced Level Certificate.

Costs:

  • Yealy cost of four (4) Foundation exams, according to the current rates set by the Member Board or Exam Provider with whom the Partnership Program is managed.

Requirements: 

  • At least 30 certification points, earned through certificates held by employees or external consultants who provide services for more than 70% of their time.

  • At least three (3) Advanced Level Certificates.

Costs:

  • Yearly cost of eight (8) Foundation exams, according to the current rates set by the Member Board or Exam Provider with whom the Partnership Program is managed.

Requirements: 

  • A minimum of one (1) Platinum Partnership and two (2) Gold Partnerships in at least two (2) different countries.


Costs: 

  • Additional flat fee of 2,000 Euro per year.

Volunteer or become a Technical Member

At the CTB, we are dedicated to offering the best-possible ISTQB experience to our candidates and partners. As part of this process, we take great pride in our contribution to the official translations and review of the syllabi, sample exams, and glossary documents.

Everyone at the CTB is collaborating on a voluntary basis. We are always looking for specialists, practitioners, consultants and trainers that have experience in software testing and quality assurance related positions in Spain and beyond, who alre looking to support the quality of the translations and reviews that we do.
